What we do
How we do it
We are specialists in designing buildings, not limited by project size or type. With each new brief, we draw on our considerable experience to create elegant buildings that sit perfectly in their wider context. Our goal is always the same – ingenious architecture that gently pushes the boundaries of the brief to quietly surpass client expectations.
Studio
Founded in 2005 by Chris Mackenzie, formally of Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios, and joined by Spencer Back in 2010 from London based Foggo Associates and Bristol’s Angus Meek Architects, Designscape’s principal architects demonstrate a breadth of experience across commercial and residential projects across London and the UK.
Closely supported by a dedicated team of project architects, each with their own considerable portfolio and areas of interest and expertise, Designscape is a close-knit practice with a collaborative, open culture that allows creativity to flow and projects to run smoothly.
Our balanced skill set across the whole practice is supported by a shared ethos and ambition to design elegant architecture with sustainability and longevity in mind.

Press
Thank you for welcoming me and for making me feel like part of the team from Day 1.
Thank you for creating an environment that made me look forward to going to work each day.
Thank you for never making me feel like I couldn’t do or understand something just because I am a “Part 1”
Thank you for all the laughs, anecdotes, good food and thought provoking conversation ( I still don’t understand why things taste sweeter when they are warmer?!)
Thank you for answering all of my many, many, many questions and for encouraging me to ask more.
Thank you for giving me the best Part 1 experience I could have asked for. I will truly miss working with you all!
I hope our paths cross again.
Aisha; RIBA Part 1 graduate 2021-2
