Your Architectural Project

Our work encompasses both residential and commercial architecture and our business is ingenious architectural design.

No two projects are the same and with our collaborative approach and drive to provide ingenious individual architectural solutions, our portfolio demonstrates a range of commercial projects and private homes of which we are extremely proud.

We work with organisations, businesses and professionals on designing innovative workplaces and have extensive practice in Big Shed design. Housing projects and Senior Living, buildings for the Arts & Education sectors and unusual one-off projects for clients in Science, Farming and Sustainability form part of our commercial portfolio.

We work for private individuals on new build homes, large alterations and extensions and have particular expertise in listed and historic buildings and (proven success) with sites in challenging locations, such as the Green Belt and AONB.

Choosing an architect

Clients often approach us with only an outline idea of their project – for example they need more space or feel there is a disconnect between their house and garden – and can’t see how best to find a solution. They feel a need for architectural insight and advice to bring a project to life; This is where we begin to add significant value. We help our clients to explore and refine their needs before responding with concept designs, often introducing ideas beyond what they had imagined possible. Not only does this help both parties ensure they are on the right path to a viable solution, but also that the solution has an expert’s insight to make an elegant proposal that gets the absolute maximum benefit for the money spent.

Designscape’s contribution at each stage of our renovation project was essential to its success.  Chris stood out for understanding our aim to retain the character and feel of the period house we were renovating.  The light, airy, contemporary solution he proposed with its wide sliding doors leading into a new terrace has become our favourite room and gets a ‘wow’ from everyone who sees it. The support and imagination of the team at Designscape during the project enabled us to complete a challenging renovation and create a home that combines the best of old and new.
