Wooley Street

Bradford Upon Avon, UK

We were pleased to hear that planning approval has recently been granted for an extension to a 1950s detached bungalow located in Bradford Upon Avon.

Although virtually unchanged from the street view, the design features significant alterations to the rear elevation which takes advantage of the sloping garden site to accommodate the generous 1.5 storey height kitchen & dining area , plus a lower ceiling snug and utility space on the ground floor.

The roof at the back of the house is altered to incorporate a very large dormer – providing an extra bedroom and bathroom which can now take advantage of the south facing views down the valley at the back of the house. The proposal also includes a refurbishment of the existing garage and the addition of a rear stepped terrace area.

The self-build clients have recently begun work on site with the occasional helping hand from Designscape. Things have been moving along well and we can’t wait to see the end result!
