We are delighted to have recently been awarded a Conservation and Environment Award by the Chippenham Civic Society for our work on Avonbridge House.
The Grade II listed building, set on the riverside in the middle of Chippenham provides a high-quality working environment for the head office for this global pharmaceuticals supplier.
The first phase included a redesigned and improved entrance from the riverside, as well as a new external terrace and landscaping providing outdoor space for the staff canteen. These works have made significant improvements to the accessibility of the building for people with a disability. The work included various upgrades of interior office and support spaces as well, with improved lighting, ventilation and flexibility of work patterns.
The work achieves a much improved working environment for staff as well as a big improvement to the external quality of the building.
The next phase, including the conversion of some currently unused attic space and the provision of an array of PV panels on the roof is awaiting planning approval.
