We have returned to the scene of a former project… in 2017. We completed a project for the refurbishment and extension of the old Schoolhouse in the middle of a Conservation area in a Wiltshire Village.
The same client has now come back to ask us to replace their existing garage with a new enlarged version which is more sympathetic to the design of the Schoolhouse extension. The garage will house 3 cars and will include additional storage space and a bin store.
The South facing rear roofslope offers the opportunity of a substantial solar panel array ( approx. 7Kw Peak output) and battery storage to run the main house. It is estimated that the solar power could provide over 75% of the house’s annual electricity, but will also allow our client to benefit from cheap off-peak power when they need to import power, as well as helping to support the general “greening” of the national grid.
