Work has now started on site on the new Vanguard Self Storage building in Bath. The site was formerly the home of the Regency Laundry – which had occupied the site since the 1880s.    

The building is approx. 5000 sqm of self-storage facility. The front of the building is set back into the site to provide for parking and the necessary vehicle movements. The front elevation includes a 3-storey high atrium and entrance area and is designed to be highly transparent.  The Client is a collector of interesting veteran aircraft, and has acquired a 1940s De Haviland Vampire jet to hang from the roof in the atrium.    

Planning Permission was granted in July 2023 and demolition was commenced in the same month.  The groundworks and extensive piling are due to be completed early in 2024 and the project is due to be completed by the end of 2024.
