2023 saw Designscape venturing Northwards again to recharge the design batteries – this time to Manchester. As ever, we spent a couple of days looking at some interesting buildings and the City generally. It was quite a revelation to see what is being achieved in a City with such ambition and the political support to see it through. Some bits were more successful than others, of course, but overall, we came away full of ideas and energy. Our thanks to those who made some good eating out recommendations and in particular to Eddy Rhead of The Modernist Society for braving the rain and providing such an interesting walking tour. The Modernist Society’s architectural guide book “GMC21” is highly recommended for architectural enthusiasts!
