We are working on a “Paragraph 80” house on a wonderful site in Dorset.  

We have adopted a very rigorous “landscape led” approach, working with Greenhalgh Landscape Architecture and Alder Ecology we have so far taken the initial design concept to the South West Design Review Panel. 

The Design Panel’s commented:   

“In conclusion the Panel considers that the site provides a fantastic opportunity for the construction of a truly outstanding property. The background work undertaken by the team to date is helpful in terms of understanding the site and character of the local area. And the idea of a “house for an engineer forms the basis of a persuasive narrative to support the proposal”   

“ The idea of a design based on a bridge or spanning element in simple horizontal form at the focal point of the site could be a powerful image and ultimately successful…”  

So far so good…. 

We are now looking forward to taking this design forward and working it up to the point where we have a fully developed design to submit for planning….
