Designscape Architects was founded by Chris Mackenzie and Lynsey Grapham, to accommodate their rapidly growing client base when trading as Christopher Mackenzie Architects. The company was formally established in September 2005 after working successfully together for over a year.

Our architectural portfolio as a company comprises a variety of building types and scales ranging from small scale domestic, private and commercial residential projects to a large scale private art gallery and production space. We also have considerable experience in dealing with historic and listed buildings with a sensitive approach to the meeting of old and new.

We are committed to putting the users of our buildings first: we strive to understand our clients' aspirations and constraints, and to respond with ingenuity and energy. We aim to design buildings and spaces which go beyond the functional requirements, and continue to inspire and satisfy the users long after we finish.
