Truly a Grand Design, this new dwelling on the outskirts of Bath conceals a secret in the original house which stands at its heart. Only the retention of an old ashlar stone wall suggests that the building is not all that it seems. Sitting atop an escarpment all eyes are drawn in one direction, due south and appreciating views to die. Large areas of glass and long balconies make the most of the orientation and were recently revealed as the scaffolding was removed.
Designscape collaborated closely with the owner and his directly appointed construction manager throughout the project, overcoming unforeseen periods of turbulence along the way and striving to maintain the desired clean, crisp and high quality finish.
